We are in search of a licensed massage therapist to bring healing, restorative massages and body treatments to our clients. The ideal candidate will be someone who resonates with our core values and wishes to contribute their strengths and passion for wellness to a strong, dedicated team. In addition, they will be passionate about massage therapy for a variety of individuals and understand the importance of personalized care. Our massage therapist will be responsible for providing one-on-one care to a variety of customers with the utmost level of professionalism and compassion.

All candidates must be certified through an accredited massage therapy program and have a valid massage therapist license.

Massage Therapist Responsibilities: 

  • Provide a variety of massages, spa treatments and wellness therapies to clients.
  • Attend meetings before and after your shifts.
  • Arrive prior to appointments to prep the service area, and conduct thorough cleaning and sanitation measures after each session.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services and treatments.
  • Promote a mindset of wellness and self-care through the benefits of massage therapy.
  • Consult with clients and provide recommendations for massage therapies, answering any questions they may have regarding treatment, techniques and benefits.
  • Design custom massage and spa treatment packages for clients based on their unique health, needs, treatment goals and massage preferences.
  • Administer different types of massages including hot stone, prenatal, aromatherapy and Swedish for sessions that can last up to 90 minutes.
  • Embrace our core values and promote peace, gratitude and empathy through your work and engagement with others.
  • Evaluate client’s soft tissue condition, joint integrity, muscle tone and range of motion and develop an appropriate massage treatment package.
  • Consult with clients prior to treatment to gather relevant medical history and identify any potential complications.
  • Create essential oil blends for each client’s needs and properly apply them to the skin.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training courses.
  • Be a part of a team that honors the sanctity of wellness and strives to help one another care for themselves as much as others.

 

Massage Therapist Requirements: 

  • A high school diploma or GED and certification from an AMA-accredited massage therapy program
  • Valid state licensure
  • Proficiency in reflexology, trigger point, deep tissue, hot stone, Swedish, prenatal and sports massage techniques
  • A warm and welcoming presence that encourages clients to return and generates new business
  • Evening and weekend availability
  • Training in therapeutic bodywork, aromatherapy and spa treatments preferred
  • Ability to promote a positive outlook and create a relaxing atmosphere for clients 
  • Continued study of clinical applications and the desire to expand your skills and professional knowledge through training 
  • Physical ability to stand for several hours at a time, lift up to 50 pounds and bend, squat and stretch to perform massages and transport/clean equipment
